Replatforming in 2019: The Good, The Bad & The Even Uglier [Magazine]

Replaltforming in 2019 magazine cover

In 2016, we gathered a group of eighteen industry experts to share their opinions on the opportunities and pitfalls when undertaking an eCommerce replatforming project. We shared their advice in a publication we called ‘Replatforming: The Good, The Bad & The Downright Ugly’.

A lot has changed since then, change that is further impacting eCommerce replatforming projects. The ubiquity of mobile, the emergence of voice, customer experience, the deep integration and orchestration of supply chain, the list is large. So, we decided we would go out again and ask the experts, and we are delighted to have gathered twelve leading practitioners in eCommerce to share their views once more. The result is ‘Replatforming in 2019: The Good, The Bad & The Even Uglier’.

Each interview contains insights into successful replatforming, thoughts on the industry changes and words of advice. Expertise comes from people such as David Kohn, Customer & eCommerce Director at Heal’s, Ansley Peet, eCommerce Manager at Cox & Cox and Mike Barker, CTO at Wex Photo Video.

David Kohn, Customer & eCommerce Director at Heal’s talks about taking on multiple projects at once.

Mike Durbridge, CEO at Andrew Martin International explores the impact of future technologies including AI and voice.

Paula Abasalo, Head of Operations & Infrastructure at Dobell discusses making a business case for change.

Other points that are explored include what digital transformation means in an eCommerce and replatforming situation and how the drivers behind replatforming have changed.

I am sure you’ll find some valuable insights in the magazine, I certainly have!
